In 2016, the Department of Computer Engineering launched its first Master degree program, M. Tech. in Computer Engineering, with an intake of 24 seats. Since its inception, the program has been running successfully, producing graduates who have made significant contributions in both the industry and academia. Many alumni have pursued careers in leading technology companies, while others have opted to further their education by pursuing Ph.D. programs.

In response to the growing demand and advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning, the program was later restructured to include a specialization in these fields. The new offering, M. Tech. in Computer Engineering (AI and Machine Learning), caters to the evolving needs of the industry and provides students with in-depth knowledge and practical experience in these cutting-edge technologies. This restructuring reflects the department's commitment to staying at the forefront of technological innovation and preparing its graduates for the challenges of the modern tech landscape.
