"The Library has a valuable collection of 2230 in Arabic, Persian and Urdu languages pertaining to the period of 14th- 20th century. These are on various subjects namely Islam, Hindu religion, Unani Medicines, Mathematics, Music, Astronomy, History, Persian language and literature. Few manuscripts are notable for their calligraphic styles and illustrations. Some are significant for translation like Padmavat, Gita, Mahabharata etc. The noteworthy manuscripts include Mualijat-e Buqrat, Yusuf-wa Zulaikha, Gulistan-e Saadi. The collection is scientifically preserved in the Manuscripts Section of Dr. Zakir Husain Library "
