ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Jamia Millia Islamia was established at Aligarh in 1920 and moved to Delhi in 1925. It became deemed university in 1962 and got the status of central university in 1988. The university has 9 faculties, 38 Departments, 27 research centres and offers 201 courses in various disciplines from nursery to Ph.D.
