Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
PEO 1: To be able to apply the knowledge of Control and Instrumentation Engineering to solve the complex practical problems for industrial and societal needs.
PEO 2: To be able to apply the knowledge of hardware and soft-computing skills to develop intelligent systems.
PEO 3: To design and develop advanced sensing and control devices to fulfill specific needs of public health, safety, security and industry.
PEO 4: To impart research and development skills to the postgraduate to become leader in research profession and entrepreneur.
Program Outcomes (POs)
PO1: An ability to independently carry out research/investigation and development work to solve practical problems.
PO2: An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document.
PO3: Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program.
PO4: The graduate will be able to use the state-of-the-art tools for modelling, simulation, analysis and experimental validation of problems related to control and instrumentation.
PO5: The graduate will become socially responsible and follow ethical practices to contribute to the community for sustainable development of society with the help of intelligent systems.
The department of Electrical Engineering brings an opportunity for post Graduate Study which includes two disciplines one is Electrical Power System Management (EPSM) and another is Control & Instrumentation System (CIS).Students are specializing to deepen their knowledge considerably by focusing on the present day’s specialized need of industries. The curriculum for Post Graduate Programme has been designed by keeping in view of the present scenario of industry needs and research areas. The Department conduct regular visit to industries so that the students interact with the ongoing live projects and advancement in technology. Recent advancement in technologies has put a great impact on Power System on the way of Generation, Transmission and Distribution. Through Electrical Power System Management programme students are educated in the process of reforms in power sector through Deregulation and Restructuring.
Guidelines for admission-
Eligibility
For Control & Instrumentation System (CIS)-
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation and Control or Electronics & Communication Engineering with not less than 60% marks in an absolute system or a minimum grade of 6.75 on a 10 point scale.
Admission in Masters Programme is through an entrance test.
