Anti-bribery and Corruption Policy

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and transparency in all its activities. As part of this commitment, JMI has adopted this Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy to prevent and prohibit bribery, corruption, and unethical practices in any form. This policy applies to all employees, officers, faculty, students, contractors, vendors, and anyone acting on behalf of JMI.

(A) Chief Vigilance Officer(CVO)

(i) JMI has a Chief Vigilance Officer (Part time) who is in charge of ensuring anti corruption initiatives of the University and also GoI.
(ii) The CVO shall maintain a website showcasing the CVO contact information, procedures for logging & tracking vigilance complaints, comprehensive guidelines on complaints, guidelines for logging complaints under PIDPI, vigilance notices, events and other relevant information.
(iii) The incharge departmental inquiries / disciplinary proceedings shall remain in contact with the CVO and put up to him all cases being investigated by them.
(iv) The vigilance guidelines issued by the GoI is the document that details the roles and responsibilities of the CVO in implementing anti-bribery, anti-corruption policies, orders and memorandum from the GoI and all matters related to vigilance and complaints. All employees of JMI shall be governed by the Code of Conduct as described in Jamia Millia Islamia Administrative Ordinance Chapter - IV.
