Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Academic Section are
To streamline and timely movement of the bills required to be prepared by the Registrar's Office a separate "Accounts Section" has been created with the following allocation of work
- Holding the meetings of Equivalence Committee and to keep all records
- Recognition of various Examinations·
- MoU with National/International Universities/Institutions
- Affiliation of Foreign Scholars
- Financial Assistance under UGC Travel Grant
- Remittance of fee of membership of various agencies institutions
- Admission of Foreign Students
- Extension of Ph.D. Scholars for 7th years
- Handling of research projects sponsored by various funding agencies viz CSIR, DST, DBT, AICTE, UGC, ICSSR, ICMR, Ford Foundation, FIST and UNESCO etc.
- Special Assistance Program (SAP) funded by UGC to various Departments.
- Forwarding of research proposals to different funding agencies
- Work related to Chairs sanctioned by the Ministry of Culture and UGC.
- Handling and processing work under School Education program sanctioned by MHRD and PMMMNMIT
- Visvesvaraya" Ph.D. Scheme awarded under 'Young Faculty Research Fellow' sanctioned by Ministry of Communication and Information Technology through Media Lab Asia
- Processing and handling work related to GIAN Scheme
- All grievances related to the students
- Issuing of Equivalence and NET exemption certificate
- NOC to Research Scholars for participation in International Conference / Seminar
- Issue NOCs for Refreshers/Oriented courses to teaching staff
- To look after the process of convening and issuing permission for National / International Conferences / Seminars I Symposia / Workshops
- Preparation of proposals under different schemes of Ministries /UGC and follow up for getting approval.
- Preparation of statistical reports and interim development proposals of the university.
- Data inputs to the authorities regarding status of utilization of grant and progress of projects to help them take necessary decisions from time to time
- Obtain ing, compilation and submission of information as required by UGC and MHRD from time to time
- Preparation of Plan Appraisal report and presentations to be made in UGC
- Obtaining and submission of building proposals, tender information, progress teports to UGC/Ministries as per their requirements
- Submission of Utilization Certificates and completion documents to UGC & other funding agencies for realization of grant and settlement of project accounts.
- Coordination with Building & Construction Deptt. regarding closure of projects and submission of completion documents
- Submission of Agenda items (in case of some deposit works) for approval by the Finance Committee
- After XII Plan, as directed by the University Grants Commission, preparation of plan proposals on annual basis.
- Liaoning with the UGC, MHRD and other funding agencies.
- Handling and processing the work related to Planning Board meetings
- Handling various Schemes of UGC viz. Sarojini Naidu Centre for Women's
- Studies, Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, HEPSN, TEPSE schemes etc.
- Handling schemes like DDU Kaushal Kendra, Community College, B.Voc. in Solar Energy etc.
- Handling and processing work under CPEPA scheme sanctioned by UGC.
- Drafting Replies under RTI and Audit paras pertaining to PDB on time to time basis
- Processing papers received under University Development Fund (UDF) / Departmental Development Fund (DDF)/ Professional Development Fund (PDF)
- Handling CPGRAMS portal and processing grievances received on it and timely uploading reply obtained from concerned
- Any other work assigned from time to time.
