The responsibilities of the Recruitment and Promotion Section (Teaching) are
- To advertise the all teaching posts and other related work
- To convene the Screening Committee of all teaching (regular, temporary, tenure, contractual, guest faculty, visiting faculty Professor Chair, Emeritus Professor, Adjunct Professor)
- To maintain the Roster of all Teaching posts
- To convene the Selection Committees for all teaching posts
- To convene the Screening-cum-Evaluation Committee for promotion of teachers under CAS
- To convene the DACP meeting for promotion of Faculty members of Faculty of Dentistry
- Preparation and Assessment of API points for appointment/promotion
- Liaisoning with Visitors Nominee/Subject Experts for Selection Committee
- Counting of past services of teachers for promotion under CAS
- Appointment of staff under various Research Projects
- Any other work assigned from time to time
