Dr. S. Kazim Naqvi is presently working as Additional Director with FTK-Centre for Information Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia. Earlier he has served on various technical/academic, teaching and administrative positions including System Analyst, Lecturer Computer Science, Sr. System Analyst, Registrar, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, Delhi and also as Professor & Director, Directorate of Distance Education & Cente for IT, MANUU, Hyderabad.

He has more than 22-years of technical, teaching & research experience. He has been instrumental in successfully carrying out several critical ICT projects in the universities he served including development of University ERP System at JMI and IMS at MANUU, Campuswide network of more than 8000 nodes at JMI etc. The work on File Tracking System carried out at FTK-CIT got JMI the Jury Award for Best ICT Enabled Institution during the World Education Summit in the year 2011.

Dr. Naqvi has also supervised 5 Ph.D students and published a good number of research papers in International Journals of repute. He also has an innovation patent granted in his name and name of one of his Ph.D. scholars Prof. Rekha Gupta. He has also served as Principal Investigator on EdRP Mission Project sponsored by NMEICT, MHRD and Australia-India Credit Transfer database sponsored by UGC, MHRD.
